Welcome to Jellie Park Recreation & Sport Centre
Fitness Centre - extended weekend hours
In response to customer feedback, Jellie Park will be trialling extended weekend hours over the summer season and closing the Fitness Centre later on Saturday and Sunday nights.
This trial will run from Saturday 14 November 2009 until Sunday 21 March 2010. Jellie Park's Fitness Centre will be open 7am - 8pm on Saturdays and Sundays during the trial.
Jellie Park, owned and operated by the Christchurch City Council is located at 295 Ilam Road.
The indoor facility features:
- Sport Pool – 25 metre, 8 lane, 2m deep
- Recreation Pool – 25 metre, 8 lane, 1-1.4m deep
- Teaching Pool – 17 metre, 3 lane, 0.8m deep
- Toddlers Pool with water features
- Single Indoor Hydroslide
- Spa Pool
- Steam Room & Sauna
The outdoor pools include:
- Main Pool – 50 metre, 7 lane & beach area
- Dive Well – 3m deep with one & three metre springboards
- Hydroslides – 2 speed shutes and 1 twister
- Large grassed area with plenty of shade
The outdoor pools are open from November to March each year and make Jellie Park a great family summer venue.

With the increased pool space available now in Jellie Park we are committed to providing the public, pool access at all times. This means that throughout our opening hours, some lanes will always be made available to the public within our two 25m lap pools.
